M:I’m thinking about joining that new painting club downtown.
W:I hear they have many rooms and they have many materials for the members to work with.
M:I heard about that. I also heard they had classes offered by some of the best artists in the area. The only thing I’m not sure of is the price.
W:I wouldn’t expect that sort of place to be very cheap.
M:I suppose you’re right, but I’ve decided that I really want to learn more about painting. I think that joining an organization like that would be a good step.
W:Well, you don’t have to join an organization just to develop your ability in painting, you know? You can paint anywhere. All you really need is some art supplies.
M:That’s true. I used to go out to the park and paint, but I always gave up after a few weeks.
W:If you spend some time every day painting, you would be surprised how much progress you could make in a few weeks.
M:That would be great! You know, instead of spending all that money on joining the club, I could buy some really nice books or some other things to develop some special techniques.
W:That’s true. Of course you could even look for art books at the library instead of buying them.
M:You know, Jenny, I think you just saved me a lot of money.
